1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in the activities of Munster Heart Foundation Charity, a registered charity in Ireland (Registered Charity Number 20081706) with its registered office at 18 Abbey St, Clonroad Beg, Ennis, Co. Clare, V95 AX83, Ireland. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Our charitable purpose

We exist to advance cardiovascular health in the Munster region through community training, awareness, patient support and the funding of cardiac care equipment. All activity described on this website is carried out in pursuit of that purpose and within the objects set out in our constitution.

3. Donations

• All donations are voluntary and, save as set out below, non-refundable.
• Donations are applied to our general charitable purposes unless you restrict them to a named appeal, in which case we honour that restriction.
• If an appeal is over-subscribed or cannot proceed, surplus restricted funds are applied to the closest comparable purpose and this is disclosed in our annual report.
• If you donate in error — a duplicate transaction, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorised card use — contact us within 30 days and we will refund it without argument.
• Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time by contacting us or your bank; cancellation takes effect before the next collection where you give us five working days' notice.
• We are signatories to the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising and comply with the Charities Act 2009.

4. Training, first aid content and no medical advice

Our workshops, seminars, printed materials and website content are provided for education and public awareness. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for assessment or treatment by a registered health professional. Always consult your GP or a cardiologist about your own health, medication or symptoms.

Our CPR instruction follows current European Resuscitation Council guidelines as adopted in Ireland. Attendance at an awareness workshop does not confer a professional or occupational first aid qualification (such as FAR or PHECC certification) unless the course is expressly described as such.

5. Events

Participation in our walks, relays and fundraising events is at your own risk. You confirm you are medically fit to take part, will follow marshals' instructions, and are responsible for your own insurance for personal belongings. We may cancel or reroute an event for safety reasons, including weather; registration fees in that case are treated as donations and are not refunded, though we will always offer a place at the rescheduled event.

6. Use of this website

• You may view, download and print pages for personal, educational or community non-commercial use.
• You may not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape content at scale, or use our name, logo or materials to solicit funds without our written authorisation.
• Impersonating this charity in order to collect money is fraud and will be reported to An Garda Síochána and the Charities Regulator.

7. Intellectual property

The name Munster Heart Foundation Charity, our logo, our workshop materials, photographs and written content are our property or are licensed to us. Community groups and schools may reproduce our public awareness leaflets in full and unaltered for non-commercial educational use with attribution. All other reproduction requires written permission.

8. Third-party links

Where we link to the HSE, the Irish Heart Foundation, the Charities Regulator or other bodies, we do so for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of external sites.

9. Liability

We provide this website on an "as is" basis and do not warrant uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Complaints

We would rather hear from you than not. Complaints may be made to aundrea-randallb7zt@gmx.com or +353 65 682 2871. We acknowledge within five working days and respond substantively within twenty. Anything unresolved is escalated to the board Chairperson, and you may also raise a concern with the Charities Regulator.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
